OK, Mrs. Johnsey, I'm all done with the first part of the course. I learned a lot! It was fun! I like geometry. I especially like the fact that it makes you think!! Proofs! wow great methods, huh?
And the geometry collection is great, too. Writing stuff down and drawing diagrams serves to fix things in your mind all the more. I think I'll need to make a new one now. I can't add that much more paper to it... it's pretty thick!

I have taken 3 of Instructor Johnsey's courses.
I really enjoyed them. These are high quality courses. I wish that she was teaching more math classes on-line because I would take more of them. After I took Instructor Johnsey's math courses, I went on went on to take a Middle School Math teaching exam and became certified as a middle school math teacher.

My daughter needed to take Algebra I and was overlooked at her middle school. She signed up for Mrs. Johnsey's course. It is affordable and the content was more expansive than what my son had taken in public school! We could not have been more pleased. She was always there and timely on everything. All questions were answered and my daughter had one-on-one help. The text book she used is the best I have seen for math! She completed the course with excellent scores and in time for high school credit. Mrs. Johnsey has a unique way of making sense out of math! Since then, we have used her tutoring help with my son and plan to conintue doing so this year! I highly recommend taking math with Mrs. Johnsey.

I would totally recommend Mrs. Johnsey to any of my friends that want to get ahead in math and earn some more math credits! I took Geometry, and it was very convenient because I could do it on my own time and schedule. This class is also very affordable compared to like Kaplan and other online classes!

Would you take another class from me?
I would take another class from you, and am signed up for the second semester of Geometry.

Would you recommend it to a friend or teacher?
Yes, I would.

Has it been too easy or too hard?
I think it has been the right amount, because you give enough work for me to learn, but also don't give a workload that would overwhelm someone.

How many weeks did it take you to complete 1 semester of work?
It took me 15 weeks to complete this semester, but that was with taking breaks during the week and weekends.

What have you learned about parallel lines, triangles, proofs, logic, and parallelograms?

I have learned that parallel lines can help you to solve many proofs and help you to find the measure of different angles. You can use the CPCTC Postulate to prove different parts of a pair of congruent triangles congruent and that there are many different kinds of triangles. Proofs make me think in a logical way and force me to understand each step that I use to prove something. I learned that logic is very important in geometry to prove many different theorems and postulates. Parallelograms have supplementry adjacent angles and also, like triangles, can be classified as different types of parallelograms.
Thank you.

Use Ms. Johnsey for tutoring. You don't have to leave or meet, very convenient and really helpful.

i decided to take this class because i wanted to learn geometry on my own and keep learning over the summer. she is very helpful and answers your questions in a very timely manner. i love the fac that you can move at your own pace and in my case it was very fast as i completed two semesters in a matter of a summer. she makes thing very easy to understand and relates it well to the book. thank you so much susan johnsey for making geometry a breeze.

I am a high school student who is homeschooled. I signed up for Susan Johnsey's online geometry class first semester. It was quite good and amazingly detailed. She would write back quite quickly after I sent her an assignment or asked her a question. I would recomend this course to one of my friends. I will probably take the second semester of Geometry, but I found this course to go over everything more than neccesary and I found it a little redundant and overexplanitory. It is a great course and the repeditiveness of this course is my only complaint. Overall it is awesome and I would recomend it, especially if you like extra practice problems.

I am a 67 year old grandmother and wanted to be able to help my granddaughters with their Algebra. I tried one semester of visiting their eighth grade class and it just wasn't working so I decided on this online class. I must say it was the best thing I could have done. Mrs. Johnsey's lessons were far more easier to follow than the book, she always responded to my questions and I learned a lot using the box method. If I decide to take Algebra 2 it will DEFINETLY be Mrs Johnseys Math-in-a-box.

I just finished the first semester of Algebra 2. I learned a lot, especially about factoring, fractional exponents, radicals and slopes. Mrs. Johnsey responds promptly to questions and grades assignments and test quickly. The website is easy to use and instruction videos are included. I plan to take the second semester of Algebra 2.
